Magicians! That’s what I always thought of the people around me who were studying physical therapy or were already physical therapists. Under their care, patients literally blossomed, and their work seemed nothing short of magic to me. That’s one of the reasons why fate led me to ultimately choose physical therapy as my field of study. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from the Second Faculty of Medicine at Charles University, where I am currently completing my master’s degree in Applied Physical Therapy. In addition to Enter Fyzio, I work as a physical therapist at the Clinic of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine at the Second Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, and Motol University Hospital, as well as at the private family clinic N2MED. In today’s world, where we have a pill or surgery for just about everything, we’re living longer and longer, and a sun-drenched retirement seems far off, the quality of life we experience—and reflecting on the necessity of certain invasive approaches or the overuse of certain types of medications—has become an increasingly important topic for me. Couldn’t we do things differently? I try to find answers to these questions in my practice as well. In my free time, you’d most likely find me with friends, traveling, or tinkering with something.
